Zusammenfassung:A fatigue failure criterion for unidirectionally fiber reinforced laminae, under oscillatory states of combined plane stress, has been developed. The salient feature of this approach is based on the premise that the damage caused in the material due to cyclic loading, is related to the mechanical energy input. The predictions of the proposed criterion are compared with the experimental data, and are shown to be in good agreement.
