Effect of Iron and Silicon on the Properties and Microstructure of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu System Aluminium Alloys

Based on extensive investigation the whole family of high strength wrought Al--Zn--Mg--Cu alloys, which are used in aerospace and other industries, have been developed in Russia. This paper discusses these developments, including alloy designations V95, V93, V96, Zr and others. (Alfed).
