Zusammenfassung:Results of experimental and analytical investigations of the strength and the behaviors of thin (6-13 mm) high-strength mortar composite reinforced with impregnated continuous carbon fiber (CF) are presented. As the result of the measurement of the mechanical properties of the CF and the mortar, it was shown that compressive modulus and character coefficient of compressive stress block (K1. K3) of the mortar much differed from those of the high-strength concrete. Then the common methods of computing flexural strength for steel bar reinforced concrete (RC) were applied for the mortar composite. Utilizing the measured data of the CF and the mortar, the calculated flexural strength, balanced reinforcement ratio and failure mode of the composite specimens agreed with these of the observed. By the applicable computing formulae, two new ways to obtain more higher flexural strength of the composite are suggested ; one is to make the ultimate compressive strain of mortar higher and the other is to use high modulus CF. A new map is proposed to survey the optimum combination of CF and mortar.
