Free vibration of simply supported and clamped elliptical plates

An approximate formulation of a simply supported and clamped elliptical plate is described which is based on the Rayleigh-Ritz technique with a three-term deflection function. A comparison of the fundamental frequency parameters for the case under consideration is presented. (O.G.)
