An investigation was undertaken to study processes which take place during the early stages of annealing in a foil of nickel alloy NP1, cold rolled from a thickness of 3 mm to 5 mu m. It was established that, prior to recrystallization, the process of polygonization takes place. Recrystallization starts at 350-400 deg C and ends at 600 deg C.
