Zusammenfassung: | The non-linear static response of a laminated graphite/epoxy cylindrical shell was investigated while subjected to an axially distributed load with cutout positioning. A 36 degrees-of-freedom two-dimensional curved rectangular finite element was incorporated into the through-the-thickness transverse shear. Both stiffness and strength increased on offsetting the cutout. The response of a laminated shell undergoing large rotations was affected by transverse shear strain and was greater with increased width and reduced circumferential boundary conditions. |
