Characteristics and application of magnesium alloys by using pore free die cast

Pore free die cast (PFD) method for magnesium alloys is described. Subtopics described are: (1) pore-free die cast technology for Mg wherein (a) principle of pore-free die cast, (b) die cast conditions for PFD, and (c) quantity production technology for PFD are elaborated; (2) characteristics of PFD Mg alloy materials such as AZ91HP, AZ91-T6, and AM60HP alloys wherein (a) internal (part) quality, (b) heat-treatment characteristics, (c) mechanical properties, and (d) fatigue properties are elaborated; and (3) typical PFD Mg wherein (a) computer parts, (b) wheels for motorcycles and (c) wheels for automobiles are elaborated.
