Learning curve of the TotalTrack™device used for intubation and supraglottic ventilation

The second randomized study versus LMA-Fastrach™ included 55 physicians and anesthesiology residents who had a 2-min explanation followed by 2 min of training before a series of six tests [9]. [...]the authors reported very short ventilation and intubation times, respectively 11 s and 23 s. Unlike other supraglottic devices, the TotalTrack™ is not ready to use in its packaging. In a real situation, the procedure can be complicated by anatomical variations, the presence of blood or secretions or an insufficient level of anesthesia.
