Zusammenfassung:This paper presents the results of an analysis of the effects of system parameters on the quality of the measured polarized cross section from distributed targets when bistatic transmit/receive configurations are considered. This work is an extension of previous work which was applied only to the monostatic configuration. The new results include the effects due to antenna isolation as well as mismatch between target and antenna polarization states for the full bistatic transmit receive configurations. The results are illustrated using an incoherent surface scatter model where there is no phase coherence between the linear polarization scattering cross sections.
