Studies of the thermal stability of poly(vinyl chloride)–II. Influence of molecular weight on the thermal stability of PVC
This study investigated the influence of the molecular weight on the thermal stability of poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC). It was found that the number-average molecular weight (45,000–131,000) slightly affected the thermal dehydrochlorination, but strongly affected the photo-thermal dehydrochlorination...

Zusammenfassung: | This study investigated the influence of the molecular weight on the thermal stability of poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC). It was found that the number-average molecular weight (45,000–131,000) slightly affected the thermal dehydrochlorination, but strongly affected the photo-thermal dehydrochlorination of PVC. The experimental results also indicated the relationships between molecular weight and structural defects. |
