Superconductivity of YBa sub 2 Cu sub 3 O sub 6.5+ delta Metal Oxides in the Ortho-2 Phase Under Hydrostatic Compression

Zusammenfassung:The variation in the superconductivity properties of the material subjected to hydrostatic compression is characterised by some significant observations. Thus, the increase in T sub c (the critical temperature) with pressure is of the order of 0.6-0.8K /kbar in the Ortho-2 phase of Y--Ba--Cu--O, the effect being more strongly developed in the resistance (R(T)) relationships. A wide range of approx 10K variations in R(T) exists above the onset of T sub c , which may be due to the process of high-temperature phases only weakly influenced by pressure. 8 ref.--M.R.M.
