Emergency department visits on Lunar New Year's Eve in Vancouver, Canada

There was no statistically significant linear relationship between the relative risk of ED visits on LNYE and the proportion of residents reporting Chinese ethnicity within a hospital's catchment area (Item SA6), but a time series of ED visits at case and control hospitals suggested the decrease in ED visits was substantial, specific to LNYE, and limited to hospitals serving neighborhoods with a greater proportion of Asian residents (Fig. 3).
