Zusammenfassung: | High-resolution optical absorption spectra of Er sup 3 sup + (intrinsic or introduced as a probe) are measured. Er sup 3 sup + ground doublet splittings, magnetic transition temps., and energies of crystal field levels for the ground multiplet of R are determined. Splittings of spectral lines remain also at T > T sub / N/ due to short-range order, indicating the low-dimensional character of the Cu magnetic lattice. |
