Zusammenfassung: | The characteristics of particles in circulating fluidized bed combustors (CFBCs) were investigated to determine what effects particular variables had on erosivity. Several bed materials, sands and limestones from two different CFBCs, were studied using both laboratory and in-service test exposures. It was determined that erosivity increased with particle angularity, size, and SiO
2 content and decreased with calcium compound content as the result of the formation of a protective scale. |
