Zusammenfassung: | It is possible to obtain significant tensile ductility in nominally stoichiometric polycrystalline B2 NiAl at room temperature and 473K. This result has been obtained from material which contains low levels of carbon and oxygen and which has been cast and extruded at low temperature. The compositions of materials used were Ni--47 at.% Al, Ni--49 at.% Al, Ni--50 at.% Al, and Ni--51 at.% Al. A comparison of the results obtained and those obtained by Rozner and Wasilewski shows very close agreement for the stoichiometric alloy and for the alloys with deviations from stoichiometry. 14 ref.--A.R. |
