Zusammenfassung:Steels, superalloys and titanium alloys are used throughout the chemical industry as materials which are resistant to acids, alkalis, slags and reactive gases. Chromium is now the principal material for which impressive improvements in corrosion resistance are expected. Comparative data are presented together with constructive suggestions, and the production of chromium metal is discussed.
