Influence of the Surface Charge on the Transport Coefficients of Pure Bismuth in the Phonon-Drag Region

The temperature dependence of the phonon drag thermal emf for semi-metals of the bismuth type in the superlow temperature range, was determined as a function of the size and sign of the corresponding charge in the surface zones. Surface deformation mechanisms were included in the study.
