Zusammenfassung: | The sintering of Al-alloyed molybdenum disilicide was studied. The regularities of the mullite coating formation on the surfaces of heaters made from this material were found. The coatings produced were dense, rather thermostable, had strong adherence to the heater base and provided reliable resistance up to 1800°C in air. In the case of mechanical damage to the coating, the repeated heating cycle led to the formation of a new mullite portion healing the damaged area. |
