Zusammenfassung:To tackle racism in palliative care we must get past our shame and discomfort in discussing this issue. With this editorial we do not aim to provoke feelings of guilt or helplessness but want to reach out to allies to tackle the pernicious pandemic of racism in healthcare and society.1–3 To encourage real change, we outline several critical steps to create an environment where diversity is valued and where differences that make a difference4 are mitigated.
