Zusammenfassung:Previously abstracted from original as item 9002-C2-D-0086. The coefficient of linear thermal expansion of C-fibre reinforced epoxy resin was measured at temperatures from --100-200 deg C. The value of the coefficient fluctuated widely with temperature due to both the alpha -relaxation effect and the beta -effect, caused by the shift of the hydroxyl groups in the polymer chain. Annealing at 120 deg C significantly affected the results. Graphs.
