Dispersoids in rapidly solidified B2 nickel aluminides
A uniform distribution of 30 nm TiB 2 and HfC precipitates in a B2-ordered NiAl matrix have been successfully created by rapid solidification processing. Such dispersions may enhance the high temperature strength and creep behavior of NiAl.
