Zusammenfassung:To extract the optimal morphological parameters of a critical transmission electron micrograph of a Au--Al sub 2 O sub 3 evaporated thin film, a special image treatment allowing one to retrieve the lost information is presented. The values obtained for the fractal dimension (D sub infinity of the infinite connected cluster, the space-filling fractal dimension (D sub all ) of all clusters and the percolation exponent tau are consistent with the predictions of percolation theory and fractal geometry on large simulated 2-D lattices.
