(Feb. 18 issue) 1 shows a method for emergency intubation in a patient with Covid-19 that includes the use of a negative-pressure isolation room. This measure was initially recommended to prevent hospital-acquired infections. However, negative air pressure in rooms in the intensive care unit could increase the risk of invasive pulmonary aspergillosis, 2 which has been reported in 10 to 30% of patients with Covid-19 in the intensive care unit. 3 Positive-pressure isolation rooms are used to reduce the risk of invasive pulmonary aspergillosis in immunocompromised patients, but their use is not suitable for . . .
