Three principal techniques are discussed: prompt methods, mainly based on nuclear reactions; activation analysis methods, again based on nuclear reactions; and, finally, accelerator mass spectrometry. Illustrative applications are quoted. Accelerator methods and other techniques for Be are briefly compared. Beryllium is often determined in Cu-, Al-, and Ni-alloys, rock and solution. |
