Anatomic evaluation of the sacral multifidus block

The cadavers were placed prone and stored at room temperature for 48 h. Under ultrasound guidance 20 ml of solution (19 ml 0.25% bupivacaine mixed with 1 ml of 10% methylene blue) was injected under the multifidus muscle at S3 level using a short bevel 21 G block needle (Sonoplex, Pajunk, USA).
