Zusammenfassung:Layering critical temperatures have been determined from adsorption isotherms for four systems (Ar on CdCl sub(2), Kr, CO or CH sub(4) on graphite) for coverages of up to 4 or 5 layers. An estimate of the roughening temperatures of the (111) faces of Ar, Kr and CH sub(4), and of the (1000) face of beta -CO is derived from the results.
