Zusammenfassung:We would like to respond to several comments by Genereux and Hemond with regard to our paper (DeWalle et al., 1988). Genereux and Hemond question the relationship between channel precipitation contributions determined using the three-component model (3C) and "new" water contributions determined using the traditional two-component model (2C) and the definition of soil water and groundwater reservoirs as used in the three-component model.
