The effect of orientation temperature on the structure and strength of blends of high density polyethylene and isotactic polypropylene
This paper discusses the dramatic changes in the polyethylene crystallization conditions in HDPE-IPP blends and the decrease in the rupture strength of oriented composites, when the temperature of orientation starts to exceed the melting point of HDPE crystallites. The relationship between the degre...

Zusammenfassung: | This paper discusses the dramatic changes in the polyethylene crystallization conditions in HDPE-IPP blends and the decrease in the rupture strength of oriented composites, when the temperature of orientation starts to exceed the melting point of HDPE crystallites. The relationship between the degree of crystallinity and the melting point of the components, on the one hand, and the rupture strength of blends with composition on the other, is also discussed. |
