Zusammenfassung: | Some properties of the La sub 2 CuO sub 4--y oxide system are discussed in terms of those of a correlated Fermi liquid. It is suggested that, for small oxygen deficiency, this system has a thermal Mott transition at a temperature T sub M approx 200-300K. Below T sub M , the Fermi liquid tends to metamagnetism, with a susceptibility that increases quadratically with T, consistently with experimental findings. 13 ref.--AA |
