Zusammenfassung: | Electrodeposition of NiFe alloys from noncomplexing salt solutions has attracted considerable attention because it exhibits the phenomenon of anomalous codeposition. An all-electrochemical destructive method was presented--using a rotating ring-disk electrode assembly (RRDE)--for the measurement of NiFe deposit composition, bath current efficiency, and partial current densities for each of the three reactions involved in the NiFe plating process. The experiment demonstrated that stripping voltammetry using a RRDE can be applied to the study of NiFe alloy electrodeposition, since it can generate accurate average alloy compositions and partial reaction currents. 23 ref.--A.R. |
