Zusammenfassung: | Polyethylene post fracture is a recognized complication of posterior stabilized total knee arthroplasty. Two radiologists retrospectively reviewed MRI examinations in 19 reported post fractures in 18 patients; all fractures were subsequently confirmed surgically with no false positive cases. All post fractures were visualized as a combination of post deformity and signal void fragment in a joint recess. A metal artifact reduction 3D multispectral imaging sequence improved fracture visualization versus conventional sequences in 47% of cases. |
