Zusammenfassung: | It is known that melts change their molar volume during quenching. The traditional scheme of this change does not show the influence of the overheating temperature (which is prior to the quenching) on the structure and properties of the amorphous alloys. At rapid quenching rates the volume values deviate from equilibrium ones already in a melt. The vitrification scheme that is suggested explains the difference between the properties of amorphous alloys quenched at different temperatures. The influence of the overheating melt prior to the quenching on the quality, structure and properties of the amorphous ribbons has been investigated. The experiments with Fe sub 100--x B sub x , Pd sub 100--x Si sub x , Ti sub 45 Cu sub 45 Ni sub 10 , and Ti sub 48.5 Cu sub 45 Ni sub 5 Si sub 1.5 alloys have proven that the elevation of the melt temperature at the same quenching rates reduces density, increases the coefficient of thermal expansion and electrical resistance, and decreases the thermal coefficient of the resistance.
