Superconductivity of Ba sub 2 Y(Cu, Ti) sub 3 O sub y Oxide. (Retroactive Coverage)
Samples of Ba sub 2 Y(Cu, Ti) sub 3 O sub y oxide were synthesized and the effect of substituting Cu with Ti was studied. In the Ba sub 2 Y(Cu sub 3--x Ti sub x )O sub y (O < = x < = 0.9), specimens were obtained which indicated a T sub c of > 80K. In the composition Ba sub alpha YCu sub be...

Zusammenfassung: | Samples of Ba sub 2 Y(Cu, Ti) sub 3 O sub y oxide were synthesized and the effect of substituting Cu with Ti was studied. In the Ba sub 2 Y(Cu sub 3--x Ti sub x )O sub y (O < = x < = 0.9), specimens were obtained which indicated a T sub c of > 80K. In the composition Ba sub alpha YCu sub beta Ti sub 0.6 O sub y (1.9 < = alpha < = 2.3, 2.3 < = beta < = 3.5), some (CuTi)-rich smaples indicated a T sub c of > 95K which was as high as that of the existing Ba sub 2 YCu sub 3 O sub y . Diamagnetic signals measured by AC susceptibility at room temperature were detected in some specimens. Zero electric resistance was observed ( < 10 exp --4 Delta cm at experimental resolution) up to 300K in the composition Ba sub 2 YCu sub 2.4 Ti sub 0.6 O sub y sintered at 940 deg C.
