Zusammenfassung: | Sensitivity and specificity of ESE to determine hemodynamically significant coronary artery disease (CAD) is limited by subjective qualitative interpretation resulting in false-positive results. The objective of this study was to determine whether resting myocardial work estimated from non-invasive left ventricular pressure-strain loops can help improve the interpretation of exercise stress echocardiography (ESE). Resting global myocardial work was performed on 288 patients referred for clinically indicated ESE with no resting regional wall motion abnormalities and normal ejection fraction (≥ 55%).
