Zusammenfassung:The surface resistance R sub S of laser-deposited. Tl sub 2 Ba sub 2 CaCu sub 2 O sub 8 thin films on LaAlO sub 3 substrates was measured. After correcting for leakage of radiation through the films, the normalized surface resistance R sub S /R sub N (with R sub N the normal-state surface resistance at T = > T sub c ) is comparable to YBa sub 2 Cu sub 3 O sub 7 (123) films. The higher transition temperature of the Tl films leads to superior microwave performance in particular at temperatures approx T = 77K and above. Graphs. 7 ref.--AA
