Zusammenfassung:Scanning tunneling microscopy, FMR, thermomagnetic measurements and transmission Mossbauer spectroscopy investigations of the topography and the magnetic properties of Fe sub 70 Cr sub 8 Si sub 8 B sub 4 amorphous ribbons before and after ion-implantation (10 exp 17 N exp + /cm exp 2 ; 100 keV) are presented. The appearance of the near surface layer, which differs from the bulk material, is observed and the possible mechanisms of the ion irradiation effects on amorphous material are discussed.
