Zusammenfassung:The article talks about what sort of personality traits make up a urologist and the various factors to be considered before taking up this branch of surgical medicine as a career option. The urological diseases are some of the most common problems, be it difficulty urinating because of an enlarged prostate or dysuria caused by a urinary tract infection. The sheer volume of patients presenting with the urological problems is a strong factor for young graduates to take up this field for many years to come and the beautiful blend of medicine and surgery adds to its ever-increasing popularity, after every doctor is a primarily a bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery. Besides barring a few exceptions, urology–gynaecology marriages are some of the happiest marriages I know.
