Radio wave reflection from quasi-periodic disturbances of the ionospheric plasma

We calculate the reflection of pulsed radio waves scattered from artificially induced perturbation of the plasma density in the ionosphere for vertical incidence. The results enable us to evaluate the height extent of the disturbed region and the transverse scale of the inhomogeneities.
