Zusammenfassung:Molecular mobility in the synthesis and degradation of the polymer of triethylene glycol dimethacrylate has been investigated. The results obtained coincide with thhe microheterogeneous model of formation of dense-network dimethacrylates via local microvolumes (grains) that are formed having a fully completed internal structure. The growth of grains in the course of polymerization results in the “infinite cluster” of grains that is formed in the polymer system at a degree of polymerization Δ amounting to 16–20%. It is proposed that kinetic features of the thermal degradation of a polymer are due to two competing chemical reactions: polymer samples with Δ 077% the degredation proceeds mainly as a decay of ester groups.
