Generalized transitivity and preferences modelling: The concept of Hyper-Order

A relational system of preferences (Hyper-Order) based on a generalization of the property of transitivity is proposed avoiding some shortcomings of previous contributions to model the prefenreces of decision makers. The purpose of this contribution is enlarging the spectrum of existing theoretical frameworks to support decision-aid methodes based on pairwise comparisons. An application to a real case-study and a computational implementation are also presented herein.
