Zusammenfassung:The paper presents an open ended framework for forecasts of demand for and supply of manpower by sectors, occupation and education, and extends it to simulate adjustment in the labour market via use of the RAS method. The model is applied to Colombia, Republic of Korea and Pakistan for the 1970s and 1980s. Results of imbalances are analysed by sector occupation and education as well as the intensity and pattern of labour market adjustment.
