Zusammenfassung:An evaluation method for the detemination of sulphide sulphur and total sulphur in Pb--Zn concentrates and plant process samples such as lead sinter, charge mix, lead blast furnace slag, zinc calcine and leach residues is proposed. Barium chloride was found to bind sulphates effectively thereby facilitating the selective determination of sulphides using hydriodic acid in the presence of Hg metal. A reducing mixture of hypophosphorous, hydriodic and hydrochloric acids was used for the determination of total sulphur. 23 ref.--AA
