Zusammenfassung:	The phase equilibria of the binary CdGe system were studied by differential thermal analysis and the dew point method. The results appear to explain the disagreement between the results of previous attempts to characterize the system. A new phase diagram is proposed in which a vapour phase intervenes before melting beyond 35–45 at.% Ge.
