Zusammenfassung:The electrical properties of a number of chemically substituted RBa 2Cu 3O 7 based compounds (where R = rare earth) have been investigated. No increase of the superconducting transition temperature above the value of 92K has been observed. It is found generally that metallic behaviour is accompanied by superconductivity suggesting that they are both a consequence of the same correlated electronic state in these metallic oxides.
