Principal components analysis--its application in monitoring the consistency of beer quality

The technique of principal components analysis is explained, and its application in monitoring the consistency of beer quality described. Product consistency may be monitored by making between‐brand or within‐brand comparisons, based on the results of instrumental analysis.
