Zusammenfassung: | An interview with Anne-Marie McDermott, pianist and Artistic Director of the Bravo! Vail Music Festival, about finalizing preparations for the newly reimagined Bravo! Festival is presented. She said much of her time and energy has been devoted to the Bravo! Festival. They're an enormous festival with four orchestras and more than 400 musicians. By the end of April, it was clear that there was no path forward in their current format. But then they started to reimagine what they could do. Having an outdoor venue was a big strength. It would have been easy to take the summer off and do nothing, but she felt like they owed it to their audiences and those who are so devoted to the Festival to reinvent themselves. She added that they know they can't have musicians coming and going. They have to live within their current reality, so they decided to bring out a group of twelve musicians to spend one month in Vail. |
