Zusammenfassung: | The synthesis of reactive powders, powder morphology, and powder evaluation by thermal analysis are described. Apparent density measurement, X-ray powder diffraction, and SEM were used to characterize CaO-stabilized (partially/fully) zirconia with 10, 15 and 20 mol.% additive. Major phases present were determined before and after calcination of the reactive mixture and have an amorphous nature up to 300 deg C. The 20 mol.% additive does not contain monoclinic phase as do 10 and 15 mol.% additives. Increasing the mol.% additive resulted in decreasing densification. 9 ref.--J.L.B. |
