Zusammenfassung: | The thermal-control requirements for design-optimized aeromaneuvering performance are determined for space-based applications and low Earth orbit sorties involving large, multiple plane-inclination changes. The predicted aerothermodynamic heating characteristics are correlated with thermal-control and flight-performance capabilities. The mission payload capability for delivery, retrieval, and combined operations is determined for round-trip sorties extending to polar orbits. Recommendations are given for future design refinements. |
