Zusammenfassung: | It is shown that the partial molar strain field of hydrogen in alpha -Fe has a non-spherical symmetry with epsilon sub 1 = 0.37 and epsilon sub 2 = --0.11. Apparent values of epsilon sub 1 and epsilon sub 2 decrease with increasing H concentration. The partial molar volume of H in alpha -Fe is shown to be V = 2.5 cm exp 3 /mol and values of V decrease with increasing H concentration.
