Zusammenfassung: | Residual stresses induced in stainless steel 304L by the turning process are studied. The main and interaction effects of all the significant variables are examined by designing a fractional factorial experiment based on statistical methods. A residual-stress predicting equation is obtained. The validity of this equation over the range of cutting conditions is verified. The min. and max. levels of the cutting variables are fixed, taking into account the range of practical cutting conditions used in the finish machining of components.--C.M.L.S. |
